Not only the schools in the city always have plans to celebrate children’s day, but orphanages also want to make children feel special on Children’s Day by organising a host of events like painting competition, distribution of gifts, etc.
At Girija Balgruha, Sector 12 kharghar Navi Mumbai where orphans of different age groups are kept, donors have committed to come to distribute chocolates, new clothes, gifts, toys and things related to daily routine. The orphanage authorities conducted a painting competition and a learning session was also conducted following distribution of chocolates to make children feel special on Children’s Day.
“On Children’s Day we ask the children about their future ambitions and appreciate their achievements. We also conduct various awareness programmes and competitions throughout the year for these children and every month we prepare proper schedule for different activities,” said Mr.Vasant Kunjar , president Girija welfare Association.
